Curtis Gillis, MBA, CPA, CFA

Curtis Gillis, Vice-President, Portfolio Manager & Research Lead – Equities, brings over 25 years of industry experience to his team and role at CI GAM. Curtis joined CI GAM in 2016 and is part of CI Global Asset Management’s sector equity team. He manages the CI Global Energy & CI Global Resource funds and is also the research sector lead for energy & utilities. Before joining CI GAM, Curtis worked as an associate portfolio manager of resource portfolios for another Canadian investment company. This follows his experience with two asset management firms and experience as a sell-side oilfield services analyst at two brokerage firms. Curtis also has direct industry experience, working in the natural gas trading group of a U.S. oil and gas company. Curtis holds the CPA and CFA designations, a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) from Saint Francis Xavier University, and a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University.
